We always wanted to trade our Suits/Heels in for Wellies, but we always saw this dream a few years down the line. Little did we know the time and opportunity to trade was going to be knocking on our door as soon as it did.
My husband has recently graduated from Essex University with a 2:1 degree in Business Management and German, with 2 years’ work experience in a top High Street Bank and an Internship with a FX company a job in the City was basically set in stone. We received a few job offers from Investment Banks, however we both knew that yes we could carry on with our current career paths and be very successful/happy but we also knew there would be a part of us that would always wonder and want to be out in the Country.

So we decided to risk it, we had a few farmers laugh and hang up on us with what we we’re trying to do and achieve when we we’re applying for jobs, however after a bit of persistence and hard work we finally got there. We got a fantastic job offer in Dairy Farming, and decided to pack everything up and move to the country.
Within short succession our house pulled through, we managed to find a fantastic Cottage with lots of character set amongst the rolling hills, with a Horse as our neighbour and Highland Cattle at the entrance just grazing. It’s like a dream come true. I just can’t wait to get rocking and rolling in our new life, and becoming a Farmer’s Wife.
I decided to start this Blog because whoever we spoke to and informed them as to what we are now doing always turned around and said ''Good luck, you've got to keep us up to date with everything your doing and how your doing,'' so we thought this was the best way, to Blog about our Journey on 'Becoming a Farmers Wife' and my Husbands Blog on 'Becoming a Farmer' at citytofarmer.blogspot.co.uk
I hope you enjoy my blog and find it insightful, and I will keep you all updated as to how our journey is going. But for now I've got just under 3 weeks of normal suburban life before our big move!
